the djb way

slackmatic repository

We have developed Slackware ports for most of the djb way software by Daniel Bernstein (and "friends"), using the slackmatic build system.

Most of these ports are server applications as described in "the djb way", such as daemontools, djbdns, qmail, etc. Most of these ports are also setup to build cleanly with the dietlibc library, for extremely compact, statically-linked executables.

The slackmatic build system allows us to roll out a new djb server quickly, easily, and reliably. To access these ports on your own system, install the file djb.httpup in /etc/slackmatic/sync and then run slackmat-sync. See the slackmatic web site for more information.
